Welcome to the Actions in Complex Environments Lab, headed by Dr. Craig Chapman.
In the Action in Complex Environments Laboratory (ACELab) at the University of Alberta, we study movements to understand thought. Rather than seeing moving and thinking as different processes, we conceptualize them as one unified product of the astounding sensorimotor machine that is the brain. We use motion-tracking, eye-tracking and electroencephalography (EEG) to provide a comprehensive picture of natural movement decision making in the kind of complex environments our brain naturally evolved.
